As I stay up late studying for my FAR retake, I find myself thinking about your progress. Your achievement fills me with joy, and your support has given me the motivation I needed. Congratulations, and I'm delighted that you've reached the finish line!

Incredible story. Im 35, and I’ve started and stopped this journey more times than I can count. I’ve passed 3 exams before, but now I’m back down to 2. I was diagnosed with ADHD during the lockdown, which honestly explains so much, both with this exam and with my life in general. I know I’m smart, but these exams are absolutly kicking my butt. Thank you for sharing your story, it’s inspiring, encouraging, and beautifully told. Congratulations!!! I’m so happy for you. I’m definitely going to draw on this for motivation..

@sophia ADHD in adults doesn’t get nearly enough recognition. My youngest has it, and I see firsthand how even the simplest tasks can feel so much harder because of constant distractions. It’s actually pretty common for highly intelligent people to have ADHD because your mind is juggling so much at once. I know it’s tough to retake an exam you’ve already passed, but I believe you will get through all of them and finish strong.

@michael Thanks so much for saying that. I grew up in a brilliant family and have often felt like the dumb one, the weakest link, and even lazy at times. It’s taken me over 30 years to build real self-confidence and believe that I’m actually smart, I just process things differently. Hearing that from someone else really means a lot, especially since I keep my ADHD hidden most of the time. Anyway, thank you, and enjoy every bit of the joy that comes with those passing scores!

@sophia I get it. My brothers are insanely brilliant, like, ridiculously smart, and I’ve always felt like the “average” one. But over time I realized I have strengths they don’t. I’m more of a hard worker and tend to be stronger in math and science. Why I decided to go after the CPA, I have no idea 😆. But I just wanted to say, you’re not the only one who’s ever felt like the weakest link in a super smart family.
