Compared to others, it appears that most people prefer Becker and Roger. Actually, after using the free trials for both, I'm prepared to pay for either of them.

Wondering which of the two is better, and why? Is it really worth spending a ton of money on a review course?

For CPAs or anyone currently taking their CPA exams, it would be great to hear your opinions.

Gleim is honestly really solid, great multiple-choice and simulation banks. I passed both AUD and BEC on my first try using only Gleim..

@dkumar Same here! FAR actually felt easier than Gleim’s practice. I scored an 89.
REG was a bit tougher, mostly because of those mortgage document sims, Gleim didn’t cover those, but I still passed with an 84.
I’m taking BEC in about a week, so hopefully the streak keeps going. I also mix in some Ninja for extra practice.

@natalie Gleim is hard af, and I love it. People say it over-prepares you, which is exactly what I want. I’m using it for FAR right now. Speaking of which… I really should get off Reddit and study, lol.

@benjamin Haha, same. I’m working on REG now. The sims are brutal and I usually bomb them, but honestly they’re harder than the real exam, which ends up being a good thing.

@dkumar Yep, Gleim got me through all four with scores of 82+ across the board. I’ll always recommend it, at least as a supplement.

Hi, I must say, my experience with Becker alongside Farhat was truly excellent. Every lecture aligns perfectly with the core subjects, and Farhat's explanations cater to students with no prior knowledge. I managed to pass all four parts on my first attempt, averaging an impressive 88.5. Furthermore, Farhat has recently transitioned to a new platform. Without hesitation, I highly recommend subscribing to Farhat Lectures. I hope this recommendation proves helpful!

To be honest, I would suggest Roger primarily because their explanations surpass the simplistic "A is correct because B, C, and D are incorrect." While some argue that Roger's MCQ bank is smaller, I simply opt for a one-month subscription to Ninja before the exam and practice through a few hundred questions there.

I'm in the Becker side. I strongly believe in the importance of practicing SIMs alongside MCQs, rather than relying solely on the latter. Becker sets itself apart with its excellent presentation and thorough explanations of SIMs, demonstrating precisely why each answer is correct. Additionally, Becker offers valuable videos on MCQs as part of their simulated exams. Overall, Becker is a reliable choice for high-quality MCQs and SIMs alike.
