After enduring a nerve-wracking wait, I received my score from the MD exam this afternoon, and to my relief, I discovered that I had passed the fourth and final section, REG! Scoring a 79 came as a pleasant surprise; I had anticipated a lower score around 72. Despite having some tax experience, navigating this section was challenging due to encountering unfamiliar concepts not typically encountered in real-world scenarios. Certain simulations and multiple-choice questions proved particularly tricky, and my performance in BLAW wasn't as strong as I had hoped.
My CPA exam journey began in 2016, but it wasn't until 2019 that I started making significant progress. However, a setback occurred in June 2021 when I lost all parts after failing to pass FAR within the required timeframe. Determined not to be deterred, I recommitted myself to the process and diligently worked my way back up.
There were moments when I seriously contemplated throwing in the towel, questioning whether it was time to abandon the pursuit altogether. However, I realized that walking away would likely mean never returning to it. Today marks one of my proudest achievements. At one point, I doubted I would ever succeed, but this experience taught me the importance of perseverance. So, to anyone facing similar challenges, remember: never give up and keep pushing forward.
What an incredibly inspiring journey! Thank you for sharing and providing us with motivation. As someone else mentioned, it's posts like these that truly keep us moving forward!
What a remarkable achievement! I nearly surrendered during my CPA journey, just like you did, but I persevered by staying motivated and surrounding myself with supportive individuals who uplifted me towards fulfilling my dream. Congratulations on becoming a CPA!
Hey there, I'm a CPA too! I initially began studying in 2016 but gave up after just one week because I got caught up in celebrating after graduating. I made another attempt in 2018 but stopped studying after two months. Then, in 2021, I missed out on a promotion because I hadn't completed the CPA requirements, which motivated me to finally finish it. Congratulations!
