Getting licensed in accounting was a game-changer for me. In just two years of running a side practice, I've made over $100k. It covered the cost of my education and significantly increased my future income. If you're thinking about getting licensed, I highly recommend it. The return on investment is undeniable.

That's awesome to hear! Starting with friends and family is a great way to gain experience. It's smart to try out different tax software like Drake, TaxDome, and CCH Axcess to see which one fits your needs best. Keep up the good work, and best of luck growing your business!

Planning to tackle the CPA exams first, even before hitting the full 150 credit hours, is smart—especially with Texas allowing sitting at 120 credits. Juggling exam prep while inching towards the 150 credits is a good strategy. Although finding a CPA to work under might be tough, networking within the accounting field can open doors. Ultimately, getting your CPA license will make the effort pay off.
