I'm thrilled to announce that I've finally passed my last CPA exam!
This journey began back in 2020, with my first successful attempt in early 2021. Here's a rundown of my score history:
AUD: 71, 77 (expired), 70, 73, 81
FAR: 71, 71, 72, 77
REG: 77
BEC: 86 (expired), 80 (finally passed!)
Along the way, I've picked up some valuable insights that might benefit others:
Don't compare your progress to anyone else's. Each journey is unique.
Discover your own learning style; what works for others may not work for you.
Remember that credit extensions are available (though regulations may vary by state).
Avoid scheduling exams right on the cutoff date to ensure timely processing.
Sometimes success depends on luck with the test you receive. If you're in the 70 range, consider an immediate retake and focus on areas you're not strong at.
If you didn't pass this time, be kind to yourself and keep pushing forward!
Feel free to ask any questions you may have—I'm here to help!
I agree with everything stated here, particularly the second point. Personally, I've never felt the need to take notes on paper during lectures. My learning heavily relies on watching these lectures, and I find it challenging to increase the playback speed like many others do. My entire learning process revolves around watching the lectures and practicing multiple-choice questions, alongside watching instructional videos on how to tackle simulation problems.
Regarding my experience with the FAR exam, I took it twice. I scored a 70 on my first attempt and a 76 on my second. Interestingly, I feel like I performed slightly better the first time around. It's quite confusing how they grade the exams. When the scores are that close, it feels like a game of chance.
Wow, what a remarkable achievement! Your post stands out as an inspiration among the many shared here. The insights you've provided are genuinely valuable, especially the fifth one. Your journey mirrors my own experience; I too encountered numerous setbacks and audits, often scraping by with scores in the 70s, before finally passing.
I'm overjoyed that you persisted through challenges. Your success not only fills me with joy but also ignites a spark of hope within me. I recently tackled FAR, and although my results are pending, I'm feeling uncertain about my performance. Yet, hearing your story of resilience has reignited my determination to keep pushing forward. Thank you for sharing your journey—it's truly motivating and reminds me that perseverance leads to success.
Congratulations! I'm delighted to hear that you've successfully completed your journey. My own journey began this year with the FAR exam, but unfortunately, I didn't pass. Reflecting on this setback, I realized I had rushed into scheduling the exam without adequately preparing. However, the silver lining is that I've discovered the most effective methodology for my preparation. Just four weeks later, I tackled the BEC exam and passed. Now, I'm gearing up for the next exam ahead.
