Tonight marks a significant achievement as my wife, after persevering through 22 attempts, has finally conquered all four sections of the CPA Exam. Her resilience is truly admirable, and I'm eager to share her journey as a testament to what dedication can achieve.

My wife, a Chinese immigrant whom I met at university, faced challenges with timed exams from the outset. Processing exam questions took her longer, exacerbating the time pressure. Additionally, grappling with the nuances of certain concepts, particularly the intricacies of wording in problems, posed continual hurdles.

Initially scoring in the 30s and 40s on sections was disheartening, but it highlighted the need for deeper conceptual understanding. I advised her to tackle FAR first, given its length. After three attempts, she finally succeeded. She then pivoted to AUD, encountering difficulties before moving on to REG. After six tries, she passed REG, and as she neared success with it, she began studying for BEC, passing it on her first attempt just a month after REG. Following REG and BEC, she resumed her efforts on AUD. Approaching the 18-month expiration of her FAR score, she intensively prepared for AUD, unfortunately missing the deadline as her FAR expired. However, after three more attempts, she triumphed, marking one of our happiest moments.

With her BEC and REG scores set to expire within 10 months, she focused on retaking FAR, finally succeeding on her third attempt today.

Throughout her journey, she encountered multiple setbacks, including several 74s, yet she persisted. The joy of finally achieving her goal of becoming a CPA eclipses these challenges.

In total, she attempted the sections:

AUD: 8 times
FAR: 7 times
REG: 6 times
BEC: 1 time

To anyone disheartened by exam failures, I urge you not to despair. Success in the CPA exam is a grueling process, but the satisfaction of overcoming it is unparalleled. Whether you've failed three times, five times, or even 22 times like my wife, the end result remains the same: becoming a CPA. Keep pushing forward, for in the end, it's not the number of attempts that define your success, but the determination to persist until you achieve your goal.

Incredible! Her resilience is truly admirable. Congratulations on persevering through it all! I have my final exam, BEC, next week, which has been postponed twice due to my lack of readiness and fear of failure. I still don't feel fully confident. You're witnessing a true fighter. Thank you for sharing such an inspiring story.

This is incredibly uplifting for me, especially considering my past struggles. I've always found computerized exams to be extremely challenging. Passing the audit exam once felt like a rare achievement amidst my busy work schedule and family responsibilities. I had nearly given up on studying altogether. Just moments ago, I shared a post about failing yet another exam, marking my eighth failure in total, and feeling my motivation slipping away. But after reading this, I'm moved to tears. It's truly inspiring.
